Mandalas can be seen throughout the world across history. While typically associated with Asian cultures, the circle can also be found in Native American sand paintings, Eskimo artwork, and Inuit paintings.
Mandalas, or circular images, are a great way to amp up your bullet journal or daily mindfulness practice. They provide clarity and unity to complex thoughts and emotions by graphically reflecting your inner consciousness. The mandala can also be used to define values or goals, reflect dual feelings, or to even get ‘unstuck’ from writer’s block. By keeping a journal of your mandalas, you can reflect on patterns and dynamics that might appear in your life.
Mandalas, while a wonderful daily practice, can not take the place of psychotherapy. If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a mental health counselor.
